although Dustin's largemouth weighted more my hat is off to Brent that fish was huge for the area he was fishing. You know what they say " Everything is bigger in Texas" and that includes the bass.

I made chowder with the Eelpout. I had never tried one before it was sooo ugly I was kinda scared! But it was really good!!! It was 33" long and was quite a chore getting it up through the hole with it folded in half! Thanks to my dad we got it!!

An excellent selection of fish and photos this month, but Capt. Mark Scarborough gets my vote. Those browns are tough to catch, tough to land and are beautiful to look at.

Are you kiddin me! WOW this has got to be the best ever month for the contest. How can you even vote a winner all of them are awesome! I have to always think of which person would I rather be aside from size and quality and method. I keep going back to flyfishing for the brown trout is what I personally think would be the best catch for me, and using a dead drift with a McNasty on a fly rod. All again should get an award! Tough one for sure. Great job to everyone!

That brown is large and beautiful and it was fly caught, which got my vote. The steelhead was also a real winner in my book, as well. Any caught steelhead is an accomplishment, and it was a dandy.

Wonder if Debbie's burbot/eelpout wrapped around her arm like a snake. That is what usually happens when you catch those but a huge 'pout snaking around your wrist and arm could be freaky. Good job Debbie and the other trophy fish contestants.
